Kukora takes top honors, Mountain Hawks finish third

THURMONT, Md. – With a one-round score of 78, Lehigh sophomore Yvonne Kukora took individual medalist honors on Friday at the Mount St. Mary’s Invitational, in helping lead the Mountain Hawks to a third place finish out of eight teams. Kukora has led Lehigh in each of the past four tournaments. Kutztown was the overall winner, with a score of 332, while Robert Morris was second with 339 and the Brown and White followed with a score of 343.
Other Mountain Hawks that had strong showings on the afternoon were Amanda Furiasse (84) who tied for ninth place, Allison Webb (89), who ended in 15th place, Paige Cullen (92) coming in a tie for 17th, and Taylor Sauer (96), who wound up tied for 25th.
Other teams who competed on Friday were host Mount St. Mary’s, Gettsyburg, Dickinson and Hollins University.
Lehigh returns to action on October 9 as the Mountain Hawks host the annual Don Mershon Invitational at Indian Valley Country Club in Telford, Pa.
