Bethlehem, PA – Lehigh’s Brown team had all five golfers place in the top ten as the Mountain Hawks won the Lehigh Spring Invitational on a cold, damp Friday afternoon on the par 73 Grace Course at Saucon Valley Country Club.  As a team, the Brown posted a 359 to win the five-team event over second place Kutztown.  Lehigh’s White team finished third with a 398 team score.

Freshman Yvonne Kukora led Lehigh’s efforts, finishing tied for third overall with an 87.  Senior captain Alexis Foucek and freshman Paige Cullen each shot a 90 to finish in a sixth place tie.  Freshman Allison Juster shot a 92 to round out the scoring for the Brown team, and classmate Tiina Olsson posted a 93 on the afternoon.

The Lehigh White team was led by the play of sophomore Caitlin Colvin, who posted a 95 to finish eleventh overall. 

Kutztown University’s Holly Shubilla shot a 12-over par 85 on the blustery afternoon to capture individual medalist honors.

The victory in the Lehigh Spring Invitational marks the end of spring competition for the Mountain Hawks women’s golf program.
