Lehigh keeps rolling with win over Delaware

Bethlehem, PA – The Women’s tennis team extended its winning streak to four matches, logging another important home victory, 5-2 Saturday over Delaware at the Lewis Tennis Center. Lehigh gave up a point in doubles, but rebounded to take five of six singles matches as they improve to 4-1 on the season.
Lehigh was led by gutsy play from both senior, Maria Del Carmen Angora and sophomore Lindsay Long. Angora fought off an ankle injury on her way to a 6-0, 6-2 singles win over Jamie Degraffenreid. Long, who missed the previous week of tennis because she was away at a conference, shook off the effects of her jetlag and captured another singles victory (6-4,1-6,6-3) for the Mountain Hawks, besting Alexa Dragonette.
Lehigh tries for its fifth win in a row against Drexel, Sunday at 1:00 at the Lewis Tennis Center.
