Mountain Hawks compete in Princeton Invitational

Princeton, NJ – The Lehigh swimming and diving teams took part in the three-day Princeton Invitational on Saturday and Sunday, with the Mountain Hawks men’s team earning a ninth place finish (of 11 teams), while the women finished tenth of twelve.

Princeton won the event with 909 points on the women’s side and 1,181 total points on the men’s side.
In the men’s 200 yard breaststroke, junior Grant Flothmeier finished third overall in a crowded field with a time of 2:08.46. Freshman Jonathan Kearney finished ninth in the men’s 1650 yard freestyle event with a time of 16:23.64. Classmate Eugene Johnston posted a top twenty finish in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 1:59.93.
In the women’s 1650 yard freestyle, sophomore Betsy Balaguer (17:46.35) and senior Amanda Warrick (17:57.08) each earned a top twenty finish. Linda Hendrixson also finished in the top twenty in the 200 yard butterfly with a time of 2:14.30.
The Mountain Hawks have completed action in 2004, and will return to the pool in January.
