Win streak at five after win over Delaware

Bethlehem, PA – The Mountain Hawks continued to roll on Saturday, their fifth straight match in improving to 5-1 on the season with a 6-1 victory over the Delaware Blue Hens. Lehigh won all three doubles sets and took five of the six singles matches on the way to the win.
Co-captain Kristen Nowicki played very well on the afternoon, teaming with Gwen Dwyer in doubles to win their set 8-0 over Liz Perlow and Sari Shuster. Then, she defeated Perlow in top flight singles 6-1, 6-4. Maria Anorga and Cessa Murasco-Blank teamed to win a doubles set as well, and both won their singles matches as well. Anorga defeated Jamie deGrafffenried 6-3, 6-2, while Murasco-Blank defeated Stefanie Riddle 8-0.
Sari Shuster picked up the only win of the day for Delaware as she defeated Gwen Dwyer 7-5, 6-1 in second flight singles.
The Mountain Hawks continue their season on Sunday against Drexel.
