Posted: September 25, 2003
Lehigh returns home to host Navy in its third official EIWA dual of the season Friday night in Grace Hall. The Brown and White are currently ranked second in the EIWA polls and 11th in the nation, while the Midshipmen are unranked nationally and ranked eighth in the EIWA.
This will be the 51st consecutive time the two teams have met and the 81st time in the series. The Midshipmen lead the all-time series, 45-36. Navy is the only EIWA team with a winning series record versus Lehigh, however the Brown and White have led 26-25 since 1950. The Mountain Hawks are currently 6-5 on the season. Navy's dual record stands at 6-4
Last season Lehigh defeated Navy 22-15 in Annapolis. This was the Mountain Hawks fifth straight win over the Midshipmen. The win was sparked by the return of Mario Stuart from a knee injury and was led by 2000 EIWA champion Matt Goldstein's last second win over 2001champion and All-American, Mark Conley.
The dual is scheduled to begin at 7:00. Fans can watch the match live on Service Electric TV-2. The match will also be broadcast live on The Sports Monster 1230 (WEEX-AM) and www.lehigh.edu with Ross Nunamaker and KC Wennogle calling the action.
