Lehigh falls short in season opener

Beaumont, TX – In its season opener, Lehigh (0-1, 0-0) came up on the short end of a match against North Texas, losing 3-0 (30-22, 30-18, 30-18) at the Lamar Cardinal Classic.
Senior co-captain Jeanette Singleton paced Lehigh with 9 kills, and freshman Allison Jack made an impressive debut with a team-leading 23 assists and 10 digs. However it wasn’t enough to overcome the balanced performance of North Texas, which had three players reach double digits in kills.
Lehigh will play two more matches at the Classic, facing off Saturday at 3:00 ET against host Lamar, and then against Texas Pan-American at 5:00 ET.
