BETHLEHEM, PA.– In its fifth event of the season, the Lehigh track and field teams enjoyed a solid day on Saturday as both the men’s and women’s teams defeated crosstown rival Lafayette. The men’s team defeated the Leopards 107-74 while the women’s team picked up a 101-80 win.
“You have to respect Lafayette and the effort they put out,” said Lehigh track and field coach Matt Utesch. “It’s always a competitive meet and I respect them as a rival. It was very satisfying today to know that our kids stepped up. The meet could have gone either way. The effort was great.”
