Mountain Hawks open spring season in Georgia

Posted: March 2, 2009

SAVANNAH, Ga. – Lehigh opened its 2009 spring season at the Savannah Arts and Design Invite at Wilmington Island Country Club.  The Mountain Hawks had a tough first day of action as they battled cold temperatures and finished with a score of 350.  Individually Emily Endres, Jasmin Hughes and Livia Amado all sit in a tie for 25th place after shooting an 84.  Berry College won the tournament after shooting a 642 (316, 326) at the par-71, 5,805-yard course.  Lehigh did not compile a team score on day two of the tournament, so its first day score does not count towards the total.

Also competing for the Mountain Hawks were Jen Nagel, who shot an 87 and is tied for 40th place, Ashley Amador who shot a 92, Taylor Orr (94), Erika Kretschmann (103) and Ana Nam who finished with a 104.

Emelie Anderson from Northwood won the individual crown after shooting 156 (71, 85).
