Lehigh's summer camp season in full swing

Posted: June 21, 2010

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – With Monday marking the first day of summer, Lehigh’s annual summer camp season is now in full swing. Lehigh’s camp season opened last week with boys basketball and boys and girls soccer, while this week is the busiest of the summer, with baseball, softball, girls basketball, boys lacrosse and the second of four weeks of boys and girls soccer opening on Monday. In addition, the first of four weeks of swimming and diving camp began on Saturday, while girls lacrosse begins Tuesday and wrestling gets underway on Thursday. Lehigh coaches and student-athletes, who serve as counselors, are hard at work on the Goodman and Asa Packer campuses helping the youngsters improve their skills while having fun.

On each day, campers are treated to a full slate of activities including individual instruction, drill work, guest clinicians and of course, competition.  Summer camps will run through the beginning of August with a variety of sessions from which to choose.  Approximately 3000 participants will attend 47 camps in 17 different sports in this summer season.
