WOMEN'S BASKETBALL CLUB

The Women’s Club Basketball team has a short history, but lots of success. Over the past years, the team has posted an overall winning record traveling to tournaments and competing against Patriot League, Division I, and east coast club teams. With a season that spans the duration of the fall and spring semesters, the team aims to attend five or six different tournaments per year, one of which is hosted by Lehigh.
The Women’s Club Basketball team looks to recruit members who have played competitively in high school and are looking to continue to do so in college, without the severity of a D1 schedule. Practices are held twice a week, with intercollegiate league games or tournaments on the weekends. Members are also encouraged to play pick-up in Taylor gym during the week. The Women’s Club Basketball team provides a great balance and outlet for those who want to pursue their education and also have the opportunity to compete. |
CHEERLEADING CLUB

The LU Cheerleaders are a very interactive group on campus. They cheer for football in the fall, as well as the Men's and Women's baskeball teams in the winter. They are also involved in promoting many university events including the C.O.A.C.H. program and Lehigh University's Relay for Life. Lehigh Cheerleading Club represents a spirit group for the student body and athletics. |
CYCLING CLUB
The Lehigh Cycling team competes in both mountain biking in the fall and road biking in the spring. The club competes in the Eastern Collegiate Cycling Conference or the ECCC.
Lehigh University boasts a wide variety of mountain biking trails, including a six mile cross country trail, a short track trail and multiple downhill courses. Members are encouraged to help build and maintain the extensive network of trails. The club also hosts the two day Mountain Top Classic race on campus. During which approximately one hundred and seventy five mountain bikers compete from all over the east coast.
Anyone who has ridden a bike before is welcome to try out the sport by borrowing a bike. Purchasing a bike will be necessary after a few introductory rides.
The cycling team does have a "Club house" or a place to keep your bike and a large variety of common biking tools. Members will be given a key and will be allowed to visit the shed whenever they want.

DANCE TEAM
Lehigh’s Dance Team is a hip-hop styled group who perform at a wide variety of athletic and student events throughout the whole year. One of the unique aspects of the LU Dance Team is that the members of our team have a variety of backgrounds from highly trained technical dancers to gymnists. Regardless, the common thread between all of the members on the team is a passion for dancing that shines through at every performance.
We are completely student run, creating and performing our own original choreography. Positions include a Captain, two CO-Captains, treasurer, and fundraising chair. Through practices, performances, competitions, and fundraising events the members of the dance team stay interactive on and off the campus.
We begin practice in early September, and run through late April, typically with practices four times a week. We perform at home basketball games, wrestling matches, football games, talent shows, and charity events at the university. Contact team captain Chelsea Evans at cre414@lehigh.edu for any additional information. |
DIVISION III CLUB ICE HOCKEY
Lehigh Ice Hockey Club Team is for those who wish to continue playing hockey without the large time and financial commitment of a Club Varsity program. The team is also a place for those with little experience in ice hockey to start developing skills and reach a higher level of competition. Ice Hockey is a student run organization and is a good place to add a leadership role on campus while having fun.
We belong to the Delaware Valley Collegiate Hockey Conference (DVCHC) which is a Division 3 league in the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA) and play a variety of teams in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Weekly practices are held at Steel Ice Center in Bethlehem. Ten league games as well as other non-league games are played starting in late September into February with playoffs following. |
EQUESTRIAN CLUB
The Lehigh Equestrian Team (LUET) is a community interested in providing an educational, competitive and fun atmosphere for any individual who is interested in horseback riding. LUET is recognized as a university club sport and is therefore student-run and student funded. Every member, including our coach is dedicated to making this team the best that it can be, both in and out of the show ring.
We are a member of the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) and compete in Region 4 of Zone 3. We have one of the largest and most competitive regions in the country. LUET competes at ten seasonal shows each year, and qualified riders are eligible to compete in Regional, Zone, and National Finals. The IHSA has divisions for all levels of riders who wish to compete, from walk-trot to three-foot fence classes. Our team is split between A-Members and B-Members where A-Team members are required to compete in the IHSA competitions, take lessons twice a week, and attend a team practice that will be held before every show. The B-Members are required to lesson only once a week and attend team practice.
However, if competition is not for you at all, we also provide a club alternative regardless of your riding ability or experience. Club members have the flexibility of choosing which LUET events to participate in while also providing support for their fellow members. Overall, we are looking for anyone who we can share our passion with for both horses and the sport! |

FENCING CLUB
The Fencing Club is open to all students regardless of past experience and is focused on teaching and enjoying the sport, catering to both competitive and noncompetitive members. A USFA club team, members choosing to compete can take part in all events available. Run completely by students, Lehigh Fencing survives through the interest of the student body and is currently trying to rebuild and inspire interest in the sport around Lehigh's campus. The club meets two to three times a week with most competitions during the weekend for those who choose to compete. The club is co-ed and is currently epee and saber focused though teams change depending on membership. Based on equipment needs and tournament fees the club does actively fund-raises on campus to supplement the funds it receives from the university. |

FIELD HOCKEY CLUB
Club Field Hockey is an active member of the National Field Hockey League (NFHL). We accept all students with or without experience. Practice is held twice weekly in the fall, and play about 10 games in the semester, both home and away. Practices are conducted in the evenings on artificial turf while games are only on weekends. We are only active during the fall semester.
The team currently consists of about 30 female students, but the team is co-ed and males are encouraged to play. Members often become very close, and remain friends even when out-of-season.
We run our own practices by electing two captains to be in charge, but any input/feedback from team members is always a positive. The other executive positions include President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. In order to cover the cost of travel, hotels, referees, and uniforms, the team receives funding from the University, fundraising, and dues.

MEN'S FRISBEE CLUB
Lehigh Ultimate was founded in 1975 and is one of the oldest collegiate ultimate teams in the country. With a history of going to nationals in the past, as well as hosting college nationals, the tradition lives on today.
Currently, Lehigh Ultimate consists of an A team, a traveling B team, and a practice B team. We practice four times a week for the entire year and traditionally each team attends 3-4 two day tournaments per academic semester. WOMEN'S FRISBEE CLUB

In the past, the women have played with the men’s team and occasionally played in women’s tournaments. We have become more independent from the men’s team and travel to a few tournaments in the area each semester. Practices will be run with the men’s team and focus on learning the basics of the game. We encourage people to join if they are looking for a fun way to meet new people.

ROLLER HOCKEY CLUB
The roller hockey club is for people wanting to have a good time. Roller hockey has been continually gaining steam and prestige. We all are competitive and want to win, but we play hockey because we enjoy it. We are highly competitive, but with two teams (depending on number of players) there's an ample fit for most. Practice occurs one day a week and we compete in the PCRHL (Philadelphia Collegiate Roller Hockey League) and ECRHA (Eastern Collegiate Roller Hockey Association)
We are a student run organization, and we run our own practices and coach our own games. When everybody is willing to work hard, we all have tons of fun. Without the option of a varsity commitment, the roller hockey club team is a great option. |

MEN'S RUGBY CLUB
"The only trophy we won this day was the blood and sweat we left on the pitch… and it was enough."
Rugby combines the beauty of soccer with the hard-nosed, physical nature of football into one amazing game. It takes intelligence, guts, and a high level of fitness to be a rugby player. There are fifteen players to a side each position has a unique role in determining the outcome of the game.
The Lehigh University Rugby Football Club prides itself on being one of the most competitive club teams on campus. We hold tryouts in the beginning of the fall semester to select our A-side team, which competes in the Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union - a subdivision of the Mid-Atlantic Rugby Football Union and USA Rugby. We also field a developmental B-side for new players to gain experience in a less intense atmosphere.
The spring semester is a great time to learn the game. We practice indoors during the cold months, focusing on the fundamentals and developing team continuity. We also train to improve individual strength, speed and endurance. As the weather improves, we resume outdoor practice in preparation for tournaments and friendly matches.
New members are always welcomed to join and are encouraged to embrace rugby as a unique learning experience. |

WOMEN'S RUGBY CLUB
The dedicated girls on the Lehigh University Women’s Club Rugby Football Club (LUWRFC) have been determined to improve their program every year. The team was founded in 1994 and has quickly become a competitive team in the area.
Together, the coach, veterans, and rookies go over the game and its rules during the first couple weeks of practice and then advance to more complicated drills. The team also elects a member to go through training in order to be a certified coach.
In order to keep the team organized, LUWRFC has five different leadership positions. The President oversees the team, paperwork, and practices, and she works directly with EPRU. The Vice President aids the President with these tasks. The match secretary contacts teams, schedules games, and ensures referees are notified. The treasurer handles funds and dues. Finally the Alumni Chair is responsible to keep in contact with past team members.
The girls of the LUWRFC are dedicated, are driven, and have fun. They love the sport and work hard to improve the team as a whole and themselves as individual players. They compete in both the fall and spring semesters. They end the spring season with the annual Prom Dress Rugby tournament, in which teams dress in ‘80’s prom dresses and end the year with laughs, good rugby, and fun. |

RUNNING CLUB

The Lehigh Running Club is a recently re-energized club, and we are still growing! This is an exciting adventure as we were accepted into the National Intercollegiate Running Club Association (NIRCA) in 2013. We are thrilled to be racing with them; there is also the option to simply partake in road races and day-to-day runs. The club is a completely student run organization with the supervision and guidance of the Women's Cross Country Coach. Our fall season will begin with the Paul Short Race hosted by Lehigh and end with the Turkey Trot of which we are the two time reigning champion.

SKI CLUB
Whether you have raced all through your life, or just want to try racing, everyone is welcome, but some skiing experience is neccessary. The Ski Team is an active member of the United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association (USCSA) and participates in the Metro Conference. From early January until mid March the ski team has optional practices twice a week at Camelback Mountain in the Poconos and competes five weekends throughout the season at various mountains. Although there is only one team, the team is co-ed where both men and women compete against their respective genders. The team is completely student run which results in a very comfortable atmosphere among team members. |
MEN'S SOCCER CLUB
Lehigh Men’s Club Soccer is one of the most prestigious, sought-after club sports at the University. Tryouts are required and are held before each season to give an equal chance to everyone while putting the best possible team on the pitch.
During the fall and spring the team practices 2-3 days a week and plays games every weekend. We currently have a 15-game schedule each season followed by the Regional Tournament to compete for a spot in nationals only in the fall. During the winter we practice indoors twice a week and play in an indoor league located in Allentown.
We have high hopes and look to build a team around group play rather than individual skill. We are always looking forward to build from last season. Players trying out should have many years experience and be fully committed to the team by making all practices and games. |

WOMEN'S SOCCER CLUB
The Lehigh Women’s Club Soccer team is a competitive club, holding tryouts early in the fall semester. The team practices at least two days a week with games on the weekends. Commitment to games and practices are required, but we understand occasional absences due to school work.
We play mostly home games and do not compete in Regional’s; however, we still pride ourselves on our successful seasons. The club is a perfect alternative for students that wish to continue playing soccer, but are worried about the level of play or time commitment of a Division I varsity team.
The girls are a team on and off the field. Whether participating in the annual Turkey Trot, holding pasta dinners, or dressing up for Halloween games; a fun and friendly atmosphere is one of our main priorities. |
SQUASH CLUB
The Squash Club is a recently founded club who play competitive squash vs. other universities. We are part of the College Squash Association (CSA), our season goes from mid fall semester to mid spring semester. Our official matches are usually scheduled on Saturdays so that we can practice during the week and compete during the weekends.
We value greatly every player’s comments so that the team can get better with every practice. In past years we have learned how great the college squash experience is and are looking forward to our next season, with a stronger and more unified team. |

TAE KWON DO CLUB

The Lehigh Tae Kwon Do fight team is a club team representing Lehigh University. We are a unique team and train off campus at Lehigh Valley Tae Kwon Do. We have fight training twice a week in addition to regular practice in Tae Kwon Do. As a team we participate in four competitions (two in the fall and two in the spring). In the past we have been very successful in these tournaments and we highly encourage anyone interested to come to a practice and see what it is like. |
TENNIS CLUB
| |
The Lehigh Club Tennis Team is a unique and fun way to compete while also having an easy-going way to enjoy the sport. Our schedule includes multiple tournaments and other matches allowing for our team to come together, travel, and develop new relationships.
The Club Tennis Team is one of the few co-ed teams that compete together. With a combination of numerous talents from both the girls and the guys side, the Lehigh team consistently competes along side the top of the other Middle States sectional teams.
In Club tennis, the students govern and run the entire schedule and season. This allows for the team to elect their own officers, schedule their own practices, and work at their own pace. Club tennis is one of the perfect opportunities for individuals to compete for themselves as well as the team. The dynamic of the Club tennis team has always been superb and allows for a laid back, fun approach towards both practices and games. |
MEN'S VOLLEYBALL CLUB
The Men’s Volleyball Club has a relatively long history at Lehigh, leading to a club with good organization and a tradition of excellence. The club typically holds a strong membership after the initial fall tryouts. Competing in the MACVC, the team travels to other schools near and far, competes in tournaments, and frequently participates in postseason playoffs. While intercollegiate competition is largely concentrated in the spring semester, volleyball is a year round involvement. We practice twice a week during both semesters, honing our skills in the fall for competition in the spring. During the busy spring season we play one to three matches a week on average both home and away.
Although competition is certainly a central part of any club sport, it is not the only focus of the Men’s Volleyball team. Despite being a competitive team, our team keeps fun a priority through occasional relaxed practices and by spending time together off the court, from simple meetings as friends to sponsored team-building events.
The club is completely self-reliant and consists of multiple administration positions. We look forward to your involvement! |
WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL CLUB
The Women’s Volleyball Club is a developing club that is still new to Lehigh Athletics. We are a competitive team that accepts players of all levels of experience. Volleyball season is all year round and we hold practices once or twice a week. We plan on extending our reach to compete against other schools and participate in many more tournaments to develop a constant involvement. Our team is run by students, so we have a fun and easygoing attitude at practice. We are very open to new ideas and drills that may help us improve as a team. |
