Community Outreach by Athletes who Care about Helping (C.O.A.C.H.) is a service program that operates in accord with the National Consortium for Academics and Sports to help (along with parents, teachers and coaches) middle and high school student-athletes and their peers, make informed choices regarding their education, drug and alchohol issues and other factors which may affect reaching their full potential. The participating Lehigh student-athletes talk about substance abuse, time management, academic motivation and other concerns of younger students and student-athletes.
Our program offers Lehigh student-athletes as "C.O.A.C.H."es for elementary, middle and high school students. Community outreach by Lehigh student-athletes has been a part of the athletic program since 1991. Visits to elementary, middle and high schools have been made by a number of student-athletes and coaches. Our athletes also work with community groups in association with Lehigh athletic events.
