Lehigh University Starters Sports Camp
LEHIGH UNIVERSITY STARTERS SPORTS CAMP 2012 - 2013
TEACHING THE FUNDAMENTALS THROUGH A MULTI-SPORT EXPERIENCE!
Start learning! Start playing! Be a STARter!
CAMP DESCRIPTION:
Starters Sports Camp is designed to teach fundamental athletic skills that can be applied to many different sports. Skills such as dribbling, throwing, catching, shooting, kicking, hitting, balance, running, jumping, and many other fundamentals will be taught.
Campers will be challenged to improve throughout the week in various athletic skills. They will be shown how these skills apply to sports such as soccer, football, basketball, lacrosse, field hockey, volleyball, golf, dance, tennis, and many more.
This camp offers a unique curriculum where SKILLS are taught and then applied across multiple sports. For example, we will teach the skill of "dribbling" and show how to "dribble" in soccer, basketball, field hockey, etc...This methodology allows us to teach the FUNDAMENTALS across multiple sports daily.
This camp is a great way for young children to have a FUN introduction to many different sports and athletic activities while developing and improving their basic athletic ability.
Daily games will include elements of traditional sports as well as age-old playground games. There will also be unique and challenging games designed to be fun and educational!
