How Do I Register?
Registration Starts: Monday, January 14th
Classes Begin: Monday, January 21st

What is Spinning?
In spinning classes, the intensity of the workout is influenced by a couple of things:
  • Cadence, or pedal rate
  • Resistance of the bike's fly-wheel, which can be continually adjusted throughout the class to make pedaling easier or more difficult.
  • The rider's body position, as they either pedal from a seated position or rise from the saddle.
  • Instructors guide participants through workout phases.  Warm-up, steady-up tempo cadences, sprints, climbs, cool-downs, etc.
Spinning is a great way to stay in shape and burn calories fast.  It's an intense, vigorous workout that helps tone muscles while building the cardiovascular system.  You'll feel invigorated after class.  It's a great way to meet others and stay in shape!

Drop-in Spin:
Try out any of the currently offered spin classes for just $10 (per person, per class).  Pre-register at the Fitness Desk or Fitness Office to reserve a bike and pay with cash, check, or Gold Plus.  You will be asked to sign a waiver before class begins.  Drop-in spots are first come first serve and participants registered for the class have priority over each of the bikes purchased.
