McCollum named to Sporting News All-Frosh Team
C.J. McCollum has been named to the 2010 Sporting News All-Freshman Team, it was announced on Monday. McCollum, who leads all freshmen nationally in scoring was named to the Second Team, and is one of only ten freshmen from around the nation named to the teams. The Ohio native was joined by the likes of John Wall (Kentucky), Xavier Henry (Kansas), Derrick Favors (Georgia Tech), Derrick Williams (Arizona) and DeMarcus Cousins (Kentucky) on the First Team and Kawhi Leonard (San Diego State), Hassan Whiteside (Marshall), Alec Burks (Colorado) and Elias Harris (Gonzaga) on the Second Team.

Dykstra named to 2010 Tewaaraton Watch List
The Greater Washington Sports Alliance announced the 2010 Tewaaraton women’s watch list on Friday and Lehigh junior Lauren Dykstra is among those on the list. This high-status award is given annually to the NCAA men’s and women’s lacrosse player of the year. The list is comprised of the top lacrosse players from across the country and across all three divisions of collegiate lacrosse. This year, between the men’s and women’s list, 35 institutions are recognized, in over 13 conferences. The nominees are screened and selected by the Selection Committee comprised of college coaches.
